AK coming back at you once more and this week I want to talk about working quickly.

Music production takes a long time. If it doesn’t for you, I’m jealous, but for most of us, it takes hours-and-hours-and-hours to make a song that’s anywhere half-decent.

That said, working faster is usually going to be better, especially when it comes to implementing things and finding ways to experiment more quickly. I made my own “Big Rack” with the intention of speeding up workflow, whilst preserving my ability to get different results every time.

You can download the “Big Rack” that I’m using below and use it in your own productions, but I also recommend taking the time to make your own from scratch that reflects the way you like to process audio.

AK
Music is and act of creation. Destruction is also an act of creation. AK destroys music to create music. 27 years old and based out of San Francisco, AK makes music that is uniquely-his. The aesthetic is maximalism - cramming as much as possible into every musical moment. For AK, it's not just the music that's interesting, but also how it's made. And so he publishes free tutorials on his website where he demonstrates different, less obvious production techniques in hopes of making the music production journey easier for others.
